A retired physician claims that he has developed “secret methods” that have allowed him to get Google advertising for free. In fact, he says that he has received more than $87 million worth of free advertising on Google. This has allowed him quite a bit of latitude in his advertising, since he can bid as much as he wants for any keyword and rest assured that he will have the top ranking ad on Google’s search pages. With that, of course, he gets a ton of traffic to his sites.
His new book, Get Google Ads Free, offers to share these secrets with you. With Get Google Ads Free, you can, he says, set your maximum bid per click to $100 and your daily budget to ten thousand dollars. It doesn’t matter, he says, because you’re not really paying for the ads.
Obviously, with Google Adwords being such an integral part of obtaining traffic for a lot of Websites, this book has created a lot of controversy. It is also selling quite well, as thousands of people are eager to get out of paying a lot of money to the search engine giant. We don’t blame them; we’ve lost more than a few dollars on ill-advised Adwords campaigns. But still - free?
We were suspicious, as you might well expect. We managed to get our hands on a copy of the book and we read it from cover to cover. In the book, he offers complete, step by step plans for how he manages to get millions of dollars worth of Google advertising at no charge.
His techniques are a bit strange, and his “secret” is somewhat misleading. He isn’t actually receiving his advertising for free; he is paying for his ads. His secret, however, allows him to get all of the money that he pays to Google back. That’s impressive.
So here’s what you want to know:
- Are his methods legal? Yes, they’re legal.
- Can the average person make use of them? Probably.
- Can you get started right away with his system? Yes.

Should you buy the book? That depends. While we’ll admit that his plan may work, we have some serious criticism of his product. So serious, in fact, that we cannot print it here. Why? The world of online marketing is a small one, and there are a lot of vindictive people working in this business. If we were to print our brutal, honest opinion of this product here, we’d probably never work in this industry again. We’ve got families to feed, so we can’t do that.
